Hi There! My name is Penny.
I also go by the names of Penny Noodles, Penny Poodle or PenPen. I will answer to pretty much anything. I am a pretty little black female. I am 4 years old and ready to find my forever home.
I am currently living with my foster parents and their 2 dogs. One is a large greyhound named Horse who isn’t really interested in doing anything but sleeping. And there is a grouchy little small fluffy dog who always tells me off. However we have become friends lately and play nicely together in the living room under supervision. I can get really excited and want to play, when we run around and my foster mum thinks I would be best suited to something my own size. I love to run and play with large dogs, that makes me happy. I love the boys and would be best suited to a larger male dog. I would also be suited to a family that is home often and has children aged 8+ years.
I walk nicely on lead most of the time but have been known to get a bit excited and bounce around. Especially at the beach! I am not allowed to do this and so will need an adopted parent who can be my leader and keep me remembering my manners.
I am great in the house, sleep all night without issue. I like to have inside and outside access. I love my bed and will happily sleep in the house while you are at work. My foster mum says I’m a good girl, I don’t normally get on human beds or sofas, but If you wanted me to I will learn!
I may be able to be on my own for short periods, and with the right owner and guidance, I could possibly be able to be totally on my own for more hours. (This has only been tested for 2-3 hrs with inside/outside access).
I love toys. Toys that make noise or squeak, they keep me occupied and playing. I will entertain myself and keep you laughing. I love affection and follow you around waiting for a good ear scratch. I will sit in your lap if you let me!
I have a strong will and mind so someone who is willing to take me to obedience training would be fantastic. This will keep my social skills at the top and teach me a few new things! I am very smart and love to learn new tricks. I can already sit and drop for treats. (I love food!)
If you think you would like to meet me, or want to talk to the GAP team about me, then give them a ring! I will be waiting “paw-tiently” for your call.
