Hi, my name is Wilson. and I am a happy, playful 3yr. old black greyhound.
I lived with my foster family, and am now waiting to go to my forever home.
I can be a bit nervous and hesitant but once I get to know you I will settle down, I like my routine - no I love routine, so I need someone who is very patient and persistent.
I love long walks, and when I stayed at my foster home I loved to sniff around the paddocks. Also my foster carer’s kids would keep me on my leash while my foster carer would walk to the other end of the paddock then I would be released and I would run the length of the paddock, I loved this.
I understand “no”, I am still learning “wait” but am getting better and I will go to bed when told. My foster mum won’t let me onto her bed, which I don’t think is fair, but I am just happy to sleep in the room next to them.
Once I know where I have to go to toilet I can let you know when I need to go out.
I like going in the car and like looking out of the window but eventually like to settle down and relax. I still need help to get in the back of the car but I can now jump out without help.
I was lucky enough to spend some time in the Prison Pet Program where I was taught some basic obedience, got lots of pats and was a favourite among the handlers.
