*The fee to adopt
a dog is $220. They come vet checked, vaccinated, wormed, heart worm
checked, and desexed. They also come with a new collar, lead, and
winter jacket. When you adopt a greyhound from GAPSA you are getting
a dog that has a known history and background. Plus a support system
from people who know and love greyhounds.

Tiger-Lily My name is Tiger Lily and I just love life! I also love people, especially when they come to the door or get home. I am really not cat friendly, so need a home with no cats. I live with a little dog and she's fun to drool on, and I even share my bed with her (as well as my foster mum). As my name implies, I am a pretty girl, with the best brindle markings ever. If you ever forget where to put the food, I have stripes that point in an arrow towards my head, and that's where the food goes! I haven't had any toileting mistakes in the house and I think I like kids, I need to investigate them more, they could be a good food source. Come visit any time you like, I'll be the bouncy one in the doorway.

Heidi Heidi is a sweet little girl who like all greyhounds loves to be with people. She is very loving, affectionate and at the same time likes her own space. She is great to be left on her own during the day in the yard when we go to work; when you get home she greets you with so much excitement and love. She is great with kids but not so great with cats. As there is a cat in the house she has to use great control not to go chasing after her when the cat strolls past, she sits there trembling as we tell her to stay. She is a quick learner and soon learns what she is allowed and what she is not allowed to do; especially when occasionally she has been known to jump onto a bed and spread herself out, and then look at you waiting for a reaction. She would make a great addition to any home with the love and attention she deserves.

Lucy She is a lovely even tempered girl who is tolerant
of small dogs and children of all ages. She about 5yo and is green
collar tested. Lucy walks gently on the lead , is happy to go for
a walk and just as happy to vegetate on her blanket. She travels
well in the car and is quiet and well mannered. In her current foster
home she has caged birds, horses, small dogs, children and cats.
She is curious of the birds, ignores the horses and children and
chases the cats (so would have to be trained not to do that if she
was placed with cats.) She is a fast learner and LOVES her squeaky
toys. She is a special girl and needs a family to give her as much
love as she has to give back to them...and that is heaps.

Maggie Raced as Cab’Sav Sav – Maggie is a 4 yr old Black and white female - She's a petite little girl who is very sweet and loving.

Brock Raced as Emulator.(written by Shirley Veling , greyhound owner/trainer/and foster mom).. He's a gentle giant, fantastic with kids and very clean. A collector of toys, gets on well with other animals and will sleep on the bed with you if you let him... but don't expect him to jump up. He will put his front feet up for you but expects you to lift his back end ha ha. He can jump if he really wanted to but I think its more fun for him when you lift him. Brock only recently retired from racing and was born on the 7th of January 2004. This is my youngest daughter Samantha who fell asleep next to Brock on more than one occasion. *adoption pending*

Nanna Raced as Nanna Goose - Nanna is 10 yrs young and is in need of a home due to her owner moving and cannot keep her. GAP is helping her find a loving family. Don’t let her age fool you. She still has all the get up and go that a younger greyhound would have. Age has no limit on this girl!

George George is a big beautiful brindle boy who loves to play! He's sweet and still has that puppy playfulness therefore may not be suitable with cats or small dogs...not that he will intentionally hurt them - he just gets a little overexcited and his size might hurt them during play!

Taya *returned* (Raced as - Rush) 3-4 y/o female - black with white feet. Taya is a young female and just loves to play!! she gets along well with other dogs. she loves her walks in the eve and will be starting obedience training soon. Shes very friendly and is always so excited to see you come home. Can you give her a forever home???
