Letter by Jane and Ian
Just a quick note to let you know that Gracie is settling
in really well
with us. We went to Sydney over the Easter weekend and our son stayed
here to dog-sit for us - all went well and she was quite overjoyed when
we came back.
She is very popular down at the Unley oval in the mornings even though
she doesn't enjoy the attention of the other dogs yet (especially the
small ones). We persist with taking her out walking but she still doesn't
enjoy her walks very much. However we have found that she loves the
beach, but more than anything she just loves being at home with us. Mini
the cat has changed from being very dominant to trying to make friends
with Gracie - Gracie is still suspicious but will at least relax in the
same room now with the cat. I fully expect to find them both sleeping in
Gracie's bed one morning soon.
Thanks for everything you do - we feel so lucky to have her in our home
and tell everyone we meet how fantastic greyhounds are.
We were wondering if there are some obedience classes just for
greyhounds - being unable to sit would make an ordinary obedience class
a bit confusing for her. (not that she is naughty at all - quite the
opposite)
kind regards,
Jane & Ian
