REDMOND'S BLOG ENTRY

1 November 2007.

Hi everyone,

I recently had the pleasure of fostering a very special boy to me.

He is special for a lot of reasons, his temperament is impeccable, he is a gentle giant and he has the most beautiful face (I've always told him he is way too pretty to be a boy) but most of all he is the litter brother to my little racing girl Cassie. It was wonderful to see Redmond and Cassie together and straight away they recognized each other. Smokey was happy as well because there was finally another male in the house to even things up a bit. Cassie even let Redmond share one of the beds with her. I have known Redmond since the day he was born and he has always been the most sociable greyhound I have known. Kirin my very dear friend who bred, owned and raced him said that he went to the track to socialize and then race.

Back on the 9th of May Redmond formerly Windburner broke his hock while racing and when Kirin took him to Chris Arnold's she was told that he could fix it but it would be costly as he had done a pretty good job of it when he broke it.

Kirin had always planned that Redmond would be a GAP dog when he retired and so she paid the $900.00 because she knew that he was worth it and that he deserved a good home.

Well Redmond's operation went well and he made a good recovery. He now loves to run around again and the way that he acts you would never think that he had broken anything at all. I know that he has a very special home waiting for him and that he will be a much loved member of the family. Here are a couple of photos while he was with me.
