Greyhounds for adoption

Page Navigation

Jax is 36kg, 4-year-old, black male greyhound looking for his foster home.

Foster care requires a dedicated individual or family to take a greyhound into their home and spend approximately six weeks assisting the greyhound to learn behaviours that are desirable in a domestic pet. Foster carers assist the greyhound with the transition from life in a kennel environment to life in a family home.

Jax would be best suited to a home as an only dog with older children (13+). Jax is comfortable doing full time hours as an only dog but will require some extra help around small dog socialisation. He is best suited to a home with no other small animals but may be able to go with another medium-large dog. Jax loves affection and cuddles from people and is very relaxed and friendly.

If you foster Jax we will provide you with the following:

Collar, lead and muzzle
Walking coat
Winter coat
Dry food
Pet mince
Training guide
Feeding guide
Flea treatment and worming tables
$25 per week gratuity payment
