Blakey ... Blue Fawn | 30kgs 

Beautiful Blakey is a large, sweet, gentle teddy bear who loves affection from his humans and playing with his doggy friends.

Specific requirements: 

• Blakey would be happiest living with a medium-large female friend
• He is happy to stay at home for full-time hours with company
• Best suited to a home with children over the age of 12
• Not suitable to live with cats, poultry or pocket pets

What we have noticed: 

• Blakey is a fun-loving big kid who is looking for a forever home with people who will interact and love him
• He’s still only a baby and learning how the world works so can be timid in new situations
• He’ll need a calm and loving environment to continue building his confidence
• He’s excelled in his foster ‘snuggle’ training – definitely earning an ‘advanced’ certificate!
• Although he is an absolute smoocher, he’s also a bit of a dufus, with long legs and a body that he’s quite happy to drape all over you – particularly in his never-ending search for tummy-rubs
• He seems to find it challenging to keep his tongue in his mouth all the time, with the tip endearingly hanging out the side quite frequently!
• He also likes to use that tongue for morning kisses regardless of whether you are actually awake or not …. so consider yourself warned!!
• He’s spent his foster time in a home with lots of different dogs as friends, so is well socialised
• His paddock friends have been sheep, horses and chooks and he’s always well-behaved when saying hello through the fence
• He knows his name and will come when called in true greyhound style .… if he feels like it and there’s nothing more exciting happening elsewhere!
• He’s not resource possessive & knows the command ‘leave it’
• He likes short walks but isn’t the type of grey who will run alongside you for hours, preferring instead to have frequent rest breaks, & even sleeps in the middle of Semaphore Square on a Saturday afternoon
• He’s food oriented and enjoys his mealtimes
