Gus who raced under the name ‘Happy Gus’ is a sweet boy who is looking for a loving family home to call his own.

Specific requirements:

• Gus would like to either live as an only dog or with a calm female doggo companion. 
• He is fine to be alone for full time hours with or without a doggo friend.
• Gus can live with children 8 years or older.
• He is not suitable to live with cats, poultry, or pocket pets.
• Gus is currently in a foster home.

What we have noticed:

• Gus is a lovely boy who is looking for a supportive family to help him build his confidence.
• He is affectionate and loving once he feels comfortable with his humans.
• Gus likes going on walking adventures and ‘Sniffaris’.
• He would like to try all different types of enrichment and treaties.

A note from the Foster Carer: 

Gus is extremely affectionate and doesn’t take long to warm to a person. He enjoys the company of other dogs but is happy to just be in the company of his people. He can be quite food driven but above all else he loves pats as a reward. He MUST sniff everything even the things you don’t want him too, he doesn’t necessarily want to eat/have what you’ve got he just needs to know what it smells like!

He’s very gentle with other dogs, and is currently living with a little doggo friend.  

He sleeps a lot but when he gets zoomies he reeaaallly gets the zoomies. He loves his squeaky toys as well as a game of tug of war with his rope ball! The car seems to be one of his favourite places, and he very much enjoyed his recent 4 hour drive when he went on a mini vacation.
