Thomas is a sweet, affectionate boy who is super friendly towards people. He never had a racing career, he was far more interested in a life of pats and luxury. Thomas has been described as an attention hog so he's looking for someone who will fulfil his cuddle requirements! 

Specific requirements:

• Thomas can live as an only dog or with a female friend of any size
• He can stay at home for hours full time alone
• Thomas is best suited to live in a home with children over the age of 8
• With proper introductions, Thomas could live with ONE indoor only cat

What we know:

• Thomas is an outgoing, confident boy who enjoys the attention of his people
• He absolutely loves snoozing on his bed - or couches if he gets the chance!
• Thomas is a very independent boy who loves attention but also is happy to have his alone time
• He would love to be taken for daily sniffing adventures
• Thomas adores his food and is a super happy boy!

A note from Thomas to his new family:

'Hi, my name is Thomas but people like to call me Cowboy. I'm a bit of a lonesome Cowboy at the moment and am looking for a forever home with a family to call my own. A little bit about me - I'm not a sporty guy (I never raced), but I love a casual zoom around the yard and a short sniff around the block. My favourite TV shows are British Bake-Off, Clarkson's Farm and Spicks and Specks. Real birds are boring but fluffy ones are the best thing ever! Actually, any toys that squeak are the best thing ever! I've been house trained and I adore humans. I will be on my best behaviour as long as I am allowed some chicken, cheese, chin scratches and plenty of cuddles. Hope to sniff you with my long snout soon!

A note from Thomas's foster family:

'Thomas (or Cowie as he is affectionately known), loves his humans - young, old, short and tall, everyone is a friend after a calm hello. He is the most tolerant dog we have ever met - he is happy to have his teeth brushed, toes played with and smooches on the head. Thomas can be left alone for 8 hour work days and has been fine - he keeps himself busy with toys and naps. He is very easy to train and has learnt to wait for his food, go to the bed on command, toilet outside and more! He picks up on things that make his humans happy and he does these things without being asked (like standing outside of the kitchen while his humans are eating!) Cats and small dogs do not phase him - he loves his animal friends and feels confident around them! If you're a fan of greyhound hugs then look no further - after a long day at work Cowie will make his way over and lean against you - if you kneel on the ground he will place his head over your shoulder. He is a real sweetheart that deserves only the best home - he is a very special dog.'
