Perky Percy... | Black

Perky Percy, who raced as 'Aqua Percy,' is a unique boy who has lived in a home and is now looking for an experienced foster family.

Specific requirements:

  • Percy can live as an only dog or with a calm, M-L female friend
  • He is fine to be alone for part time hours as he does prefer to have people around
  • Percy can live with children over the age of 8
  • He is not suitable to live with cats, poultry or pocket pets

A note from Percy's current family:

  • Percy loves friendly people and being among the action!
  • Exercise - 2 x walks per day in rain, hail or shine. He loves runs, zoomies in the garden, the beach, the water - he will go on as many walks as you will take him
  • Sniffing safaris - he loves to sniff for treats and new smells in the garden, street or car rides. His little nose straight in the air smelling all the things going past in the car is very cute.
  • Cuddles on the bed and couch with his people
  • Sleeping and roaching
  • Play time with squeaky and scrunchy toys, zoomies with his people, doing impressive acrobatics
  • Using his doggy door to have inside/outside time whenever he wants
  • Sun-bathing on the deck, on his beds, in the garden, on the ground and getting really hot until he drags himself out of the sun
  • Routine - walk and feed routine and might sulk a bit if that is disrupted too much or you get home after dark without walking/feeding him first
  • Adventures and car rides - short or long, he will happily lay in the car for hours and go on long road trips and loves exploring new places including your social sport, quiet cafes or breweries, bushwalks, etc etc
  • Food - all kinds, treats, meals, snacks. He can be sneaky if you leave food unattended but won't take food or annoy you while you're eating or cooking. The only thing that doesn't agree with him is pigs ears. He loves chicken and bread (if he can find it).
  • A good, firm towel down after a bath or a rainy walk.

Percy does have some behaviour issues but has a modification program in place. His new home would need to be prepared to continue with this - GAP staff will provide you with further information.
