Greyhounds for adoption

Specific requirements:

• Daphne can be an only dog or with a dog companion of any size.
• She can be home for fulltime hours with or without company
• Daphne is suitable for a home with respectful children 12 years or older
• She is not suitable to live with cats, poultry or pocket pets

What we have noticed:

• Daphne is a super sweet girl who loves pats and affection
• She is great on lead and very gentle

From her foster carer:

Daphne is a sweet girl who loves her cuddles! She is good around both large and small dogs, although she sometimes gets boisterous during play, so an energetic larger dog would be ideal as a companion. Older children would be fine. She is fine being alone for fulltime hours, as long as she has her toys or her companions to stop her boredom. 

Daphne will soon warm up to you for cuddles and pats, and positive reinforcement is all she needs for training. She will eagerly greet you at the door when you have been away from her, and as long as she gets her compulsory “hello Daphne, I’m home” cuddles, she will then retreat back to her bed!
