Affectionate Austin, who raced as 'Rockstar Austin,' is a beautiful friendly boy who is currently in our prison program. Austin is looking for a foster or foster to adopt home to help show him the ropes of home life. The retired Rockstar loves to keep the wild side alive by doing zoomies 1st thing in the morning and will greet you with sheer excitement at breakfast time! Because what greyhound doesn't like breakfast time right! Austin has previous experience playing and exercising in his run with another greyhound which he absolutely loved! He has also previously spent time interacting with other breeds and observing species such as horses from afar, which didn't phase him at all.

Austin can be a little shy at first, but has a very affectionate, sweet & cheeky personality to reward you with if you take the time to get to know him.

He is a sweet old man who would love to spend some time in a home. Having never been in a home before Austin will need a little hand to adjust, but this sweet affectionate boy is very much worth the effort!

Specific requirements:

At this stage Austin has no specific requirements. Placing specific requirements on him unneccesarily might limit him from finding his forever home. Austin just needs someone who sees the potential in him and is willing to help him adjust into home life! At his age I think he has deserved it!

What we have noticed:

• Austin can be a little shy initially, but once he knows you he is a calm, happy and confident boy who is friendly with people
• Austin loves to play with other dogs but doesn't always get the freedom to do this at will. Because of this Austin can get a little excited when meeting new dogs and will need a little help to learn to greet new friends with a little less enthusiasm.
• Austin is active, independant and playful
• Austin's photos aren't the best, sorry! They're old and don't reflect his personality well. However Austin will be out and about in the Murray Bridge area on June 4th to take some new pictures! Get in contact with the GAP team to come and meet him on the day and say hi! OR.. you can always put in an application for Austin today and the prison team will help facilitate a meet & greet anytime!
