Lovely Louie ... Black | 36kgs
From Louie's Foster Carer:
Louie (or Loulou to his close friends) is a very relaxed boy with a lovely nature - other greyhound owners that we’ve come across on our adventures have commented on how chilled he is! He really likes going for a morning walk, and seems to enjoy longer walks as well as shorter ‘sniffaris’. He is eager and can pull a bit at the start of a walk, but quickly settles into loose-leash walking.
Louie has been out for walks at the beach, parks, the Linear park walking trail, and around the neighbourhood. He is a good boy in the car and normally lays down until we reach our destination. Generally, other dogs are more interested in him than he is in them, and he has interacted calmly with both small and large dogs. Louie is very interested in his surroundings and what is going on when we are out of the house. He has behaved nicely at cafes, and has enjoyed laying on the grass at Henley Square watching the people and doggos going past. He can take a while to warm up to people he doesn’t know and is calm but a bit unsure when people approach him outside the house.
Louie has been living in a home with 2 people, but definitely has a favourite! He prefers to lay down and nap in the same room where his person is, and is a perfect work-from-home colleague. When we are lounging on the couch, he is happy to lay on his dog bed or on the living room rug. He is generally very calm and relaxed at home, and very rarely barks. When left at home alone, Louie prefers to be inside. He has learned how to use a dog door, and has shown that he can be trusted inside. My security cameras show that he spends his time alone napping and looking out the bay window at the goings-on in the street. At night, he has been sleeping on a dog bed in my bedroom, and sleeps all night without fussing or making noise. He does like to jump on the bed for a morning snuggle - but waits to be invited!
