Vibrant Vinnie | Black | 32kg |

Vinnie, who was known on the racetracks as ‘Vinnie Rumbling’, is quite the contrast now that he is loving retired life. A beautiful gentle soul that loves socially interacting with people, Vinnie is one of the dogs currently in our Pet Prison Program.

Vinnie is really friendly and highly social with people, displaying no signs of avoidance, apprehension or conflict.

He is a current member of our Prison Pet Program and has demonstrated reliable recall when off lead in a secure yard environment, indicating good engagement and handler responsiveness.

Vinnie is placid and easy going across most situations, showing a stable and settled baseline.

Vinnie seeks out chewing and destruction of materials, but this appears to be his preferred outlet rather than a frustration based behaviour. Proactively increasing appropriate chew and enrichment options will meet these needs. Vinnie's ability to spend sustained periods engaging with a Kong Wobbler indicates he has good persistence, problem solving, and capacity to self settle with enrichment.

Vinnie hasn't ever lived in a home before and would love the opportunity to find someone who can spend the time showing Vinnie how to transition into home life!

Specific requirements:

  • Vinnie can live as an only dog or with a M-L calm companion.
  • He can be left in the home for part time hours alone or full time hours with a doggo friend.
  • Vinnie could live in a home with children 8 years or older.
  • He is not suitable to live with cats, poultry, or pocket pets.
  • Vinnie has seen sheep and alpacas and is not bothered by them.

What we have noticed:

  • Although he can be a bit shy at first, Vinnie has shown confidence quickly when in new environments.
  • Vinnie has shown that he copes well in a structured environment
  • Vinnie very much loves people, and contstantly chooses to engage when given the choice
  • Food and enrichment games are a great way to keep Vinnie busy and engaged.
