Romantic Rusty | Fawn | 27kgs

Rusty is a friendly and outgoing boy who would love sunset walks on the beach and then a snuggle on a comfy couch. He has made amazing progress in foster care and is now ready for his forever home.

Specific requirements:

• Rusty is fine to be an only dog or with a 10kg+ dog companion.
• He can be home for full time hours with or without company.
• Rusty is suitable for a home with children 5 years or older.
• He is not suitable to live with cats, poultry or pocket pets.

What we know:

• Rusty is a confident and easy going boy, he would love to be taken out to new places.
• Rusty loves a dip in the shell pool on warm days!
• He is friendly and loves pats but is also fine to just nap all day on his own.
• He has had experience around chickens, peacocks and sheep!
• Rusty is crate trained with his foster carer and would like a crate to hide away in in his new home as it does help him settle in.

From his foster carer:

• Rusty has been the most amazing presence and friend in our home. He's calm and quiet, but it has been such a joy to watch him come out of his shell. He's recently discovered the fun of toys, tossing his teddy in the air and chasing a ball to bring back to us.
• Rusty is happiest with short strolls, plenty of naps and loves being home most, but is happy to go and visit friend's dogs and great in the car. He loves his lickimat with sardines or peanut butter and never says no to a treat! From day one he's been incredible with toileting and we're so proud of how he has mastered the night routine. 
• He patiently watches while we prepare his meals and is so gentle on the lead you hardly notice he's there. We adore how he perks up when we ask "Do you want cuddles?!", his tail wags and he nuzzles right in. He does enjoy his own quiet time to rest, but always somewhere close to his humans. 
• Rusty is now comfortable being home alone, he waits by the front window for us and enjoys watching "dog meditation" videos on youtube when we are out. He has a soft spot for anything light and fluffy - pillows, blankets or teddies.
